Kolkata: 24Ghanta is organising its “24 Ghanta Ananya Samman 1416” for the 3rd consecutive year this year. Unlike other events in this part of the country, it is “Sherar Lodai noy, Protibhar Swikriti”- it is not a fight for the best, it the acknowledgement and felicitation for the outstanding talents that have made the state proud over a period of time.

Addressing the audience, Zee News Ltd CEO Barun Das affirmed the company’ support to honouring those who have made a positive change in society.

“Three years ago, Zee News Limited had laid a foundation of a tradition in the form of Ananya Samman. It remains our deep privilege to honour those who have toiled to bring about a positive change in the society and sacrificed for our security,” he said in chaste Bengali.

Minutes before, he made an entry to the venue with the CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharya who was the Chief Guest of the evening.
