"No part of Terai and Dooars should be included in the proposed Gorkhaland Territorial Area," Parishad leader Rajesh Lakra said after a meeting of the 17 other organisations here.
The meeting chalked out a series of agitations in the area in next month protest rally on April 6-7 and Terai-Dooars bandh on April 10-11, Lakra said.
Besides the Parishad, the meeting at Nagrakata was attended by Kamtapur People's Party, 'Bangla Bhasa Banchao Committee' and others.
The organisations will also launch poster and banner campaigns from April 1 to build public opinion on the issue.
The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha had demanded 398 mouzas, including 196 from Dooars, 199 in Terai and three in Rajganj to be included in the GTA.
The Parishad said a high-powered joint committee, comprising representatives from all the three sides and headed by former Justice Shyamal Sen, should not yield any land to GTA.
Jalpaiguri: Vowing to oppose inclusion of even a "single inch of land" in the GTA, the Adivasi Vikash Parishad and 17 other organisations on Sunday said the Dooars and Terai region can never be part of the proposed area.
