BJP wants to assert supremacy of nation: Sinha

The BJP wanted to hoist national tricolour in Srinagar to assert the supremacy of the nation and not for any political reasons, West Bengal BJP president Rahul Sinha said.

Howrah: The BJP wanted to hoist national tricolour in Srinagar to assert the supremacy of the nation and not for any political reasons, its West Bengal unit President Rahul Sinha said today.

Claiming that the `Ekta Yatra` was aimed at fostering unity in the country and foil the attempts to divide the nation by sepratasits, Sinha came down heavily on the Centre and Jammu-Kashmir government for arresting national leaders of the saffron party.
Sinha called for immediate dismissal of the Farooq Abdullah government in J & K and arrest of Abdullah for "undemocratically stopping BJP leaders who just wanted to hoist the tri-colour.
Sinha and other BJP leaders squatted at the heart of Howrah town today in protest against the Centre`s act to stop BJP`s march to the Kashmir Valley.
