Bomb blast in Murshidabad house, no casualty

A bomb blast took place at a house used by beedi workers to manufacture beedis at Shamsherganj in Murshidabad district of West Bengal in the early hours on Thursday, police said.

Baharampore: A bomb blast took place at a house used by beedi workers to manufacture beedis at Shamsherganj in Murshidabad district of West Bengal in the early hours on Thursday, police said.

No one was injured in the incident, police said, adding, the compound wall of the house was damaged in the blast.

The house was used by a beedi factory owner to manufacture beedis. At the time of the blast, no one was in the house as the workers had left for the day.

On receiving the information, the police rushed to the house and the bomb squad was informed. Police were looking into the cause of the blast.

Two persons were yesterday injured in a separate blast in Malda district while making bombs, police said.
