Chit fund owner abducted by agents and depositors, rescued by police

Kolkata: The proprietor of a chit fund company, who allegedly duped agents and investors, were abducted by them on Friday before he was rescued and arrested, police sources said.

Mohammed Mustakin, the proprietor of Gem Dream Finance Company, was forcibly pushed into a car by agents and investors near Hiland Park area on the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass, sources said.

Local people who noticed it, immediately informed the police.

The police intercepted the car near Parama Island on the Bypass and rescued Mustakin, police said.

Mustakin was arrested as also 12 other persons, they added.
