CISF jawan shoots at senior inspector over phone call, leaves?

A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan on Sunday shot his senior dead over a trifle issue of the latter objecting to a phone call, reports said.

Kolkata: A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan on Sunday shot his senior dead over a trifle issue of the latter objecting to a phone call, reports said.

The incident took place inside a CISF camp at Kolkata Port Trust when the phone of a jawan named Neelkant Bihara started ringing. His senior inspector named Gurupada Sheet objected to it and was shot at by the jawan.

According to police, the jawan fired three rounds from his rifle after a heated argument with the inspector, killing him on the spot.

The jawan, who later surrendered has been arrested by the police and will appear before court later today.

What might have added to the anger of the jawan is the fact that he was reportedly denied taking leave earlier.

In another story related to a CISF guard, a jawan named BP Miri mistakenly fired at himself from his service rifle at Pune Airport at 1 am today.
