Chennai: Ruling DMK`s ally Congress on Wednesday alleged a ``conspiracy`` behind recent labour disputes in Tamil Nadu and expressed fears that the fast industrializing state could lose business to other states if no action was taken.

Participating in the debate for demands in the state
Assembly, S Peter Alphonse (Congress) cited recent labour
problems in the industrial hub of Sriperumbudur near here and
said this could affect investments in the state.

``We have learnt that some companies are even willing to
relocate following the recent incidents (of strike and labour
unrest involving MNCs like Hyundai, Foxconn),`` he said and
alleged a conspiracy behind these incidents.

Stating that the Congress-led UPA at the Centre and the
DMK government were working in tandem to bring in more
foreign investments to the state, he urged the state government to identify persons behind the ``conspiracy`` and
take action.
