Cong threat to call bandh in north Bengal

WB PCC president Pradip Bhattacharya threatened to call a bandh in North Bengal if an AIIMS like hospital was not set up at Raiganj in North Dinajpur district.

Cooch Behar : West Bengal PCC president Pradip Bhattacharya Wednesday threatened to call a bandh in North Bengal if an AIIMS like hospital was not set up at Raiganj in North Dinajpur district, as was proposed earlier.

Bhattacharya`s threat came during his address at a rally organised here in Cooch Behar district to demand setting up of the hospital.

A memorandum was submitted to District Magistrate Mohan Gandhi in this regard.

Dipa Das Munshi, Raiganj MP, said Congress would not enter into any alliance with the Trinamul Congress in the panchayat elections.
