Burdwan: Trinamool Congress leader and
Minister of state for Railways Mukul Roy on Sunday alleged that
the recovery of a huge cache of arms and ammunition from
CPI(M) cadres proved that the Marxists had a huge armoury.
"The recovery of arms from CPI(M) cadres after the
announcement of the Assembly results prove that the CPI(M)`s
armoury is even bigger than the state police armoury," Roy
said at a function at Memari College in the district.
Roy said the Mamata Banerjee government had already
solved the Darjeeling problem after an accord was signed with
the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM).
All the other problems of the state would also be solved
by the new government as promised in its election manifesto,
he claimed.
The two main priorities of the new government is
infrastructure development and improving the law and order
situation in the state, the minister added.
The function was attended by most of the Trinamool
Congress MLAs of Burdwan district, including state Law
minister Moloy Ghatak.
