Kolkata: Crowds thronged puja pandals here
and other parts of the state on Mahanavami on Wednesday, resulting in
traffic snarls on several arterial roads of the metropolis in
the morning.
Though there was light drizzle in some parts of the city
in the afternoon but it failed to dampen the spirits of the
people.
Variously-themed pandals and innovative art work had the
revellers avowed, inspiring them to continue their pandal
hopping.
With traffic police in full strength on the streets,
vehicular movement by the evening was almost normal on roads
like Central Avenue and AJC Bose Road.
