Purulia (WB): A jawan of the Eastern Frontier Rifle (EFR) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at Bora, about 42 km from here in Purulia district on Wednesday, police said.
Superintendent of Police C Sudhakar said Amardeep Subba (38) a jawan of the EFR posted at the Bora police station allegedly committed suicide.
He said a probe has been launched into the incident.
