Kolkata: A fire broke out in the CPI(M) state
party headquarters Tuesday night.
Fire brigade sources said some of the dumped waste papers
caught fire but the flame was soon put off by those present at
the Muzaffar Ahmed Bhavan, the Bengal headquarters of the Left
party.
Two fire tenders rushed to the spot, but by then the fire
was extinguished.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, they said, adding
that there was no report of any injury.
