Suri: Four persons, including local Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Mostafa, arrested for the killing Sagar Ghosh father of a TMC rebel, on July 21, were on Monday remanded by a local court to two days judicial custody.
The four, who were arrested by the CID on Sunday night from different places in Panrui police station area, were produced in the court of the chief judicial magistrate who remanded them to days judicial custody.
The court sent them to judicial custody for two days as the CID investigating officer was not present in the court.
Assistant public prosecutor, Kuntal Chatterjee, said "The investigating officer has gone to attend the case in the honourable high court. He has taken the case diary too. So the court ordered to hear the case on Wednesday."
So far five persons have been arrested for the murder of Sagar Ghosh, father of Hriday Ghosh, a rebel TMC candidate who had contested the last panchayat election in Kasba village near Bolpur.
