Improvised canons seized from near CPI-M office in Bengal

Four improvised canons were found from a field near a CPI-M party office at Indas village in Bankura district.

Kolkata: Improvised canons and illegal
firearms were seized from near a CPI-M office and another area
in West Bengal on Thursday by the police and the joint forces.

Praveen Kumar said.

The police seized the weapons after being informed by
local youths, he said.

In West Midnapore district, four guns, cartridges and
bombs were seized from Bandgora area in the Jhargram police
station area, Additional SP Mukesh Kumar said.

The area was being searched by the joint forces which
made the seizure, he said.

The seizure of illegal firearms are being made since
the declaration of the assembly election results on May 13.
