Kolkata: Suraj Binbanshi’s dream of becoming a police officer came true on Thursday when an entire police station in Kolkata played host to him.
The seven-year-old Suraj’s biggest fantasy is to be a police officer.
The boy is suffering from lymphoblastic leukaemia and is undergoing treatment at the Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre and Research in Kolkata.
Suraj told an NGO, Make A Wish Foundation, about his dream. And there it was! It was a dream come true for Suraj when he was taken to the New Town police station at Rajarhat in Kolkata. The boy in full khaki uniform was later seated in the police officer's chair. Gifted with a plastic pistol, Suraj also visited prisoners and urged them not to commit crime.
