Kolkata: The Maoists have for the first time admitted that Kishenji`s death has dealt a heavy blow to their organisation and called upon the youth to join the outfit.

Kishenji, a CPI (Maoist) central committee member, was killed in an armed encounter with the Joint Forces in Jangalmahal on November 24, last year.

In a release circulated among some TV channels, the CPI (Maoist) central committee said that Kishenji`s killing in Jangalmahal had come as a "a great blow" to the organisation and appealed to the youth to join the outfit "to fulfill Kishenji`s cherished dream".
The central committee asked its state unit in West Bengal to initiate efforts to draw more youth to the organisation.
