Kolkata: In a major reshuffle in the IPS
rank, West Bengal Government on Saturday appointed V V Thambi as
Director General of the CID transferring him from the post of
Director of the state Crime Record Bureau.
The DG CID post has been created by Mamata
Banerjee-led government, state secretariat sources said here
today.
The ADG CID Raj Kanojia, who was heading the
department, has been transferred as ADG, state Crime Record
Bureau.
At the same time C V Murlidhar, who was on compulsory
waiting, would take over as ADG CID replacing Kanojia.
The IG Traffic Adhir Sharma would take over as IG (II)
CID, the sources said.
