Mamata Banerjee`s eight security men injured in accident

Eight police personnel, part of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee`s security entourage, were injured on Saturday in a road accident near the chief minister`s residence, police said.

Kolkata: Eight police personnel, part of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee`s security entourage, were injured on Saturday in a road accident near the chief minister`s residence, police said.
"The security personnel received injuries after they were hit by a bus which went out of control. They have been admitted to the state-run SSKM (Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial) Hospital. Two of them are in critical condition," a police officer said. The personnel were inside a police kiosk when the bus, over which the driver lost control, hit them. The driver of the bus was arrested. "The brake of the bus had failed, and it was being driven very slowly. There were no passengers. But somehow, it went out of control and hit the policemen," the conductor of the bus said. IANS
