Jhargram: Striking an instant rapport with the people of 'Junglemahal' on her first visit on Tuesday here as chief minister Mamata Banerjee took questions from the crowd on what was needed for development of the region.
"My government is here to look into your demands," Banerjee told the people as hands were raised and suggestions came flying.
Introducing the Paschimanchal Unnayan (Western region) Development Minister Sukumar Hansda, the chief minister said, "tell him what your needs are and he will try to solve them."
The crowd raised slogans in favour of the chief minister as she announced projects and development schemes for Junglemahal.
