Kolkata: A West Bengal minister on Friday claimed that Maoist posters threatening his life were recovered from Khadya Bhavan, the headquarters of the state's food department here.

"I have no idea how the posters entered my office threatening my life and warning Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for opening food outlets in Junglemahal," West Bengal Food Minister Jyotipriya Mullick told reporters.

The minister, however, said threats "could not stop the peace process".

He said 53 food outlets had been set up in Junglemahal with seven in Ayodhya hills in Purulia district and 47 more to be opened soon to provide subsidised foodgrains to the people in the Maoist-affected area.
