Jhargram (WB): The body of the missing
police constable, abducted by suspected Maoists from his
in-law`s house, was found on Saturday at Jamshola village in West
Midnapore district.

"The bloated body of Sarkar Hembram, who was posted as
constable in nearby Purulia district, was found after getting
a tip-off from an arrested Maoist cadre. Hembram was abducted
on Thursday from his in-law`s house seven days after his
marriage," Pravin Tripathy, Superintendent of Jhargram said.
Hembram was killed over some disputes related to his
marriage, he said without elaborating.

Police sources, however, said Hembram had promised to
marry another woman but later cancelled that marriage proposal
and married here. This could have some bearing in his murder,
sources said.

Five armed Maoist cadre had also abducted Hembram`s
father-in-law Khelaram Tudu who was later freed.
In a separate incident, two milk traders, Mantu Barik
and Rohin Barik, who were allegedly abducted from Manik Para
in Jhargram are still missing.
