Beharampore: The superintendent of a hostel of Don Bosco School in Murshidabad district, who was accused of sexually assaulting a Class V student, has been arrested.
Police said that Father James Soren was arrested from the school yesterday on the charge of sexually assaulting the 10-year-old boy in his room on last Wednesday.
The boy had called his father, a resident of Bakhanda village in Raghunathganj, a day after the incident to inform him of the assault, according to a complaint lodged by the father at the local police station and school authorities.
Soren was produced in a court at Jangipur in Murshidabad district which has remanded him to 14 days' judicial custody.
