Kalimpong: A mysterious low
intensity explosion in a government bus stand here in the
small hours today in Darjeeling district left no casualty or
injury but baffled the security personnel.
It was a stove burst at about 3 am beneath a
stationary bus in the North Bengal State Transport Corporation
(NBSTC) bus stand here, Additional Superintendent of Police
(Kalimpong) Jackline Dorjee said.
It was not known who had kept the stove there and why,
Dorjee said adding the forensic department has been asked to
examine the spot and CID was requested to probe the incident.
The bus under which the explosion occurred was
damaged. None was arrested.
