Oman Air flight makes medical emergency landing in Kolkata

The Oman Air flight with 85 passengers on board made the medical emergency landing as a woman passenger complained of severe pain in her right arm, airport sources said.

Kolkata: An Oman Air flight from Chittagong
to Muscat made a medical emergency landing at the NSC Bose
International Airport in Kolkata on Tuesday.

The Oman Air flight with 85 passengers on board made the
medical emergency landing as a woman passenger Heena Begum,
36, complained of severe pain in her right arm, airport
sources said.

The pilot of the Oman Air flight contacted the Air Traffic
Control of the NSC Bose International Airport and requested
permission for medical emergency landing, which was granted by
the ATC.

The plane landed at around 5 pm and Heena Begum was
immediately rushed to emergency medical unit of the airport,
where the doctors found the Begum has suffered a heart attack
and was sent to a city hospital.

The Oman Air flight then took off after at around 6.30 pm,
the sources added.
