Purulia (WB): Union minister Mukul Roy
and Opposition leader in West Bengal Assembly Partha
Chatterjee on Tuesday visited the family of local Trinamool
Congress leader Sashi Bhusan Prasad Yadav, who was shot dead
last evening.
Roy, minister of state for shipping, and Chatterjee
came separately to Yadav`s residence in Nituria and talked to
the grieving members of his family.
Both the Trinamool Congress leaders accused the CPI(M)
for the killing of Yadav, Trinamool president of Nituria block
committee.
Unknown gunmen shot Yadav, also an elected member of
Nituria Panchayat Samity, dead at a tea stall at Parbelia in
Nituria.
Trinamool Congress wrested power from CPI-M under his
leadership in the panchayat samity last year.
Trinamool workers put up road blockade several times
in Nituria while party activists would gherao all police
stations across the district tomorrow, party sources said.
