Midnapore (WB): BJP West Bengal unit president Rahul Sinha today said the party is contemplating to file a case in the Calcutta High Court to unravel the truth behind lynching of a student in Sabang college in Midnapore West district earlier this month.

The police want to hush up the case as members of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP), the ruling party's students wing, were involved, alleged Sinha who came here to take part in a party workers' meeting.

"That is why we are planning to file a case in the High Court," he told reporters after the meeting.

It is being alleged that Krishna Prasad Jana, a member of Chhatra Parishad (CP), student wing of Congress, was beaten to death during a clash with TMCP inside the college campus on August 7.

While three TMCP members were arrested initially, later two CP activists were arrested as the police said Jana was killed due to a factional fight of the CP.
