Kolkata: Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday grilled painter Shuvoprasanna and industrialist Harsh Neotia in connection with the Saradha scam.
Both of them had been asked to appear before the agency for questioning their alleged involvement in the scam, ED sources told.
Shuvoprasanna, considered close to ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, allegedly sold a TV channel he owned to Saradha Group chief Sudipto Sen, now in jail custody.
He was also involved in setting up the sprawling Arts Acre Foundation campus at Rajarhat.
Neotia was also grilled by ED officers to ascertain the nature of his association with the painter and had bought several paintings by him.
"I have been knowing Shuvoprasanna for many years and was a like a friend to me. I also bought several pictures painted by him", Neotia told PTI.
CBI had also summoned Shuvoprasanna in connection with the Saradha case.
