Security tightened for Mamata visit

Security was tightened in Darjeeling in view of the two-day visit by West Bengal Chief Minister.

Darjeeling in view of the two-day visit by West Bengal Chief
Minister Mamata Banerjee starting Monday.

Official sources said Banerjee would arrive here by
road after reaching Bagdogra airport tomorrow.

After spending the night here, she will inaugurate
Balasan water project and DGHC-organised tourism festival the
next day, the sources said.

North Bengal Development Minister Goutam Deb said the
chief minister is expected to announce some fresh projects for
the area during the visit.
