Teacher injured, driver killed in road accident

Nadia (WB): A teacher was seriously
injured and the driver of the vehicle in which he was
travelling killed on Saturday when the car collided with a truck in
Nadia district, police said.

Sudhangshu De was seriously injured and driver Bidhu
Chandra, 40, was killed the on spot when their vehicle
collided head on with a loaded truck at Bahadurpur on National
Highway-34 under Dhubulia police station.

While De was rushed to Shaktinagar Hospital, the body
of Bidhu was sent for autopsy, police sources said.

Both De and Chandra were the resident of Bethuadahari
under Birpara area, sources said.

Anghsuman De, the elder brother of Sudhangshu De said
that the deceased was going to Burdwan to join a teaching job
when the accident happened.
