as per invitation of r.k. mission, neempeeth i had been in kaikhali paryatan kendra on 31.8.2011 when the mishap at jharkhali happened. muktananda maharajji of r.k. mission advised the administration not to allow any boat during high tide, which was ignored. the boats carried excessive numbers of passengers. the policemen at the spot objected and requested not to carry more than 20 passengers which both passengers and the boatmen did not bother and few police men present ignored. the boat capsized near jharkhali and the forst two victims were brought to kaikhali around 2:15 p.m. so the boat is expected to have capsized at about 1:30 p.m. muktanandaji immediately organised a boat and informed police to take immediate action so that jharkhali police could act rescue. he took up this with high officials of police and requested immediate action so that the operation could be completed in day light. it is unfortunate from the part of police that they did not organise some speed boats patrolling so that any mishap could be attended immediately. i would request administration to arrand=ge speedboat patrolling for any festive occassion.
