Three Maoists arrested in Bengal

Three Maoists were arrested from West Bengal`s West Midnapore district.

Kolkata: Three Maoists were arrested from West Bengal`s West Midnapore district Sunday, police said.

"We arrested the three today (Sunday) from Lakxmanpur area of the district," said Manoj Verma, superintendent of police, West Midnapore.
Acting on a tip-off, the security forces raided the village and arrested Mangal Mahato, Gopal Mahato and Jagadish Mahato.
Maoists are mainly active in three western districts of the state - Purulia, West Midnapore and Bankura.
