Kolkata: Trinamool Congress Friday demanded a
thorough inquiry into the alleged distribution of money by a CPI(M) MP Ramchandra Dom in a Birbhum village and said the Marxists were trying to allure voters fearing defeat in the
elections.

Leader of Opposition in state Assembly Partha Chatterjee
alleged that the CPI(M) had been exposed for trying to
`purchase voters`.

"We demand a thorough probe into this," he said.
Mamata Banerjee claimed at an election rally at Canning
in South 24-Parganas district that villagers had `caught
redhanded` a CPI(M) MP for giving money to `purchase voters`
in Birbhum district.

"From Bolpur to Nanoor and from Nanoor to Keshpur,
everywhere you will find CPI(M) distributing money to allure
and purchase voters as the party is scared of facing a poll
debacle," Banerjee said.

"CPI(M) is now fully exposed," Trinamool leaders said.

Trinamool Congress leader and MP Kalyan Banerjee alleged
that Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee, CPI(M) leader
Biman Bose and state`s Housing minister Gautam Deb had
levelled `wild allegations` against Trinamool Congress on the
blackmoney issue.

"We want the Election Commission to take note of this and
take appropriate action," he said.
