Trinamool protests against joint security forces in Bengal

Trinamool MP Shubhendu Adhikari on Saturday said the party would continue holding protests to demand the recall of combined security forces engaged in anti-Maoist operations in West Bengal.

Jhargram: Trinamool MP Shubhendu Adhikari on Saturday said the party would continue holding protests to demand the recall of combined security forces engaged in anti-Maoist
operations in West Bengal.

"We will continue pestering with our demands of withdrawal of joint forces until they are met," Adhikari said at a rally here in West Midnapore district. Trinamool Congress chief and railway minister Mamata Banerjee has demanded immediate withdrawal of joint security forces.

Adhikari urged party supporters and locals to lead protests against the alleged atrocities of the ruling CPI(M). "When our leader Mamata Banerjee will become the chief minister, we will withdraw all cases against innocent people like you," he said.

Besides West Midnapore district, protests have been held in Purulia and Bankura districts.
