Two Maoists arrested in Bengal

Two suspected Maoists were on Friday arrested from a jungle at Barikul in Bankura district.

Bankura (WB): Two suspected Maoists were
on Friday arrested from a jungle at Barikul in Bankura district.

"Sushil Sardar and Buddheswar Mahato, aged about 23 to
24 years, were arrested this morning from Phuljhora jungle
during a raid by joint forces," Superintendent of Police
Pranab Kumar said.
Sardar is a resident of Belpahari in the nearby
Maoist-hit district of West Midnapore and Mahato is a local
resident.

They were arrested for their involvement in Maoist
activities, Kumar said.
