WB: 30 patients with cholera symptoms admitted hospital

Thirty people including children with cholera symptoms were admitted to a primary health centre and nearby medical camps at Tatar village in West Medinipur district, a medical officer said Monday.

Medinipur: Thirty people including children with cholera symptoms were admitted to a primary health centre and nearby medical camps at Tatar village in West Medinipur district, a medical officer said Monday.

The affected people, who used to drink water from `Sajal Dhara` water system working through pipes and tube wells, were admitted to Ramkrishnapur Primary Health Centre and adjacent medical camps since Saturay night, district`s Chief Medical Officer (Health) Girish Chandra Bera said.

They are suspected to be suffering from cholera, Bera said.

However, their blood samples are being tested, he said.
