New Delhi: Even as Mamata Banerjee presented the Railway Budget 2011-12 in Parliament on Friday which is widely termed as a poll manifesto for West Bengal elections by the opposition, sources have revealed that the polls in the Left-ruled state may take place from April 18.

As per Zee News sources, the WB Assembly polls will take place in five phases.

The sources also revealed that the announcement in this regard may be made on March 3rd.

It was also reported that keeping the elections in mind, all Trinamool Congress MPs have reportedly left for Kolkata to start the preparations.

It should be noted that this assembly election is widely seen as Mamata’s best chance to capture the Writers’ Building.
