Kolkata: West Bengal Parliamentary Affairs minister Partha Chatterjee on Wednesday brought a privilege motion against BJP leader Jaiprakash Majumdar and the news editor of a Bengali news channel for making derogatory comments against him.
Reading out the motion, West Bengal Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee said Chatterjee had sought privilege motion against the BJP leader and the news channel for making some derogatory comments against him in a talk show.
The notice would be taken up by the privilege committee for further action, Banerjee added.
