Kolkata: A train on Saturday was halted in West Bengal after a bomb alert.

The Kamrup Express is a daily express train which connects Howrah (Kolkata) in West Bengal with Dibrugarh, which is a major town in upper Assam.

A coach has been detached from the train. However, it is yet to be ascertained whether the bomb alert was genuine or hoax.
