Woman, four children die in car blaze in Purulia

A woman and four children were killed when the fuel cylinder of a car blasted in Purulia.

Purulia: A woman and four children
were killed on Friday when the fuel cylinder of a car blasted at
Jhalda in Purulia district.

According to police, Sita Nayak (26), a pregnant
woman, her son Kartik Nayak (2), and her neighbours - Hemanta
Nayak (4), Rakhi Nayak (10) and Jyotsna Nayak (4) - died on
the spot when the fuel cylinder of the vehicle went off at
Kutidi village.

The driver escaped the fire following the blast,
they said.

All the victims were residents of Kutidi village and
were returning from Jhalda Public Health Centre after a
check-up of Sita, police said.
