Woman Maoist nabbed who carried out recce of EFR camp at Silda
A woman Maoist disguised as a dancer who carried out a reconnaissance of the EFR camp at Silda in West Midnapore district before the attack which left 24 securitymen dead, has been arrested along with another.

The woman Maoist, Sambari Hansda alias Seema, and
another ultra, Hapan Murmu, were arrested from Lakhanpur
village in West Midnapore district last night, West
Midnapore`s Additional Superintendent of Police (Hqs), Sukesh
Kumar Jain told PTI.
Some directional landmines and Maoist booklets were
seized from them, he said.
Seema and two other dancers went to Sildah on the
morning of February 15, the day the Eastern Frontier Rifles
camp was attacked, and made a rece while dancing to collect
money from shop-owners and local businessmen, police sources
They entered the Eastern Frontier Rifles camp and
asked the securitymen for food claiming that they were hungry,
the sources said.
The arrest of the other Maoist, Hapan Murmu, who was
involved in the attack on the Sankrail police station in the
same district in October last year, came about based on
information provided by arrested Maoist leader Dilip Mahato,
On October 20 last year, Maoists raided the Sankrail
police station and killed two police officers and abducted the
officer-in-charge, Atindranath Dutta. He was released
unharmed some days later by Maoist leader Kishenji.
