10-yr-old hosts Xmas dinner for 50 homeless in London

London: Hoping to make her father`s last Christmas wish come true, a 10-year-old British girl abandoned the usual family festivities and served dinner to 50 homeless people. The girl said it was her "best Christmas ever".
Gracie McNulty`s father Craig died in an accident and she was not sure how to cope with her first Christmas without him, the Daily Mail said.
Her mother Sharon McNulty, 46, runs the Grilled and Filtered cafe in Dewsbury in West Yorkshire.

With help from her mother and three siblings - Kirstie, 19, Thomas, 21, and James, 26 - Gracie served turkey with trimmings to 50 homeless people on Christmas.

Craig, 38, was a regular charity volunteer who served breakfast to homeless people on Boxing Day in the past, and he had promised to open the family`s cafe on Christmas Day this year. But he suffered serious head injuries while working and died in August.

The family gave tickets for Christmas dinner to local charities who help the homeless, and their community donated money to fund the event.

"It`s been the best Christmas ever. I was just at school feeling sad about my dad so decided I wanted to do something to make him proud and this felt like the perfect thing," Gracie said.

"I want to do this every year," she told the Daily Mail.
