Adolf Hitler had once listed his occupation as an author in a 1932 directory of addresses of people residing in Munich, it has been revealed.

London: Adolf Hitler had once listed his occupation as an author in a 1932 directory of addresses of people residing in Munich, it has been revealed.

The leader of the Nazi party described himself as ` schriftsteller `, which means an author, writer or wordsmith, because of the success of his book ` Mein Kampf`, which translates to `My Struggle`, Daily Express reported.

Hitler`s signed personal copy of the directory that comes with his original receipt, dated December 19, 1931, before the book`s publication is set to go under the hammer at Mullock`s auction house in Ludlow, Shropshire.

The copy is set to fetch an estimated 5,000 pounds.
