Airlines suspend flights to Yemen capital Sanaa due to violence

International airlines have suspended flights to Yemen`s main airport in the capital Sanaa for 24 hours due to the threat of violence, the Civil Aviation Authority said.

Sanaa: International airlines have suspended flights to Yemen`s main airport in the capital Sanaa for 24 hours due to the threat of violence, the Civil Aviation Authority said.

"Arab and foreign airlines have decided to suspend their flights to Sanaa for 24 hours because of developments in the capital," the authority said in a statement issued overnight, adding the measure could be extended or reconsidered depending on the security situation.
