Austria: Small plane crashes, 6 killed, 2 injured

Police say a twin-engine Cessna plane has crashed in western Austria, killing six people and injuring two others.

Vienna: Police say a twin-engine Cessna plane has crashed in western Austria, killing six people and injuring two others.

Police said the plane was on its way to southern Spain from the Austrian city of Innsbruck, when it crashed today some 20 minutes after takeoff.
APA news agency said all those onboard were Austrian nationals.
The plane crashed into the mountains at an altitude of about 1,600 metres and caught fire after the impact. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
