Bali bombing suspect re-enacts alleged crime Bali: An Indonesian militant accused of making the explosives used in the 2002 Bali bombings is back on the resort island to re-enact his alleged crime for authorities.

Umar Patek showed investigators on Thursday how he allegedly mixed the chemicals used for Southeast Asia's deadliest terror attack. Many of the 202 people killed were foreign tourists, crammed into two popular nightclubs.

Patek was captured in Pakistan on January 25 and will stand trial in Indonesia. A trial date has not been announced.

Patek has admitted taking part in the bombings but has said his role has been exaggerated.

Re-enactments are a common feature of Indonesian criminal investigations.
