 UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon on Sunday called for working towards a better and sustainable world which would benefit every country, at the 7th Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

Gandhinagar: UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon on Sunday called for working towards a better and sustainable world which would benefit every country, at the 7th Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

"I sincerely hope, all world and business leaders and people will be inspired by Gandhi 's visions and teaching. I commend Prime Minister Modi's smart cities initiative and vision of use of renewable energy efficiently," he said.

"You are here to not only build industrial strength but sustainable inclusive solutions. Let us work together for a better and sustainable world where nobody will be left behind," he added.

Earlier in the day, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel said that Gujarat is committed towards making the 'Make in India' campaign a success and added that the state is going to be a trendsetter in the campaign.

The 7th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2015 is being held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

Around 50,000 delegates from India and 1,800 others from 105 countries are said to be participating in it.
