Washington: A children`s book penned by
US President Barack Obama is all set to hit the book stores in
November.

In the book entitled `Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My
Daughters`, Obama has written a moving tribute to thirteen
groundbreaking Americans and the ideals that have shaped the
United States from the artistry of Georgia O`Keeffe, to the
courage of Jackie Robinson, to the patriotism of George
Washington.

Announcing the publication of the book in New York,
Chip Gibson, president and publisher of Random House
Children`s Book, said the book is an inspiring marriage of
words and images, history and story.

"`Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters`
celebrates the characteristics that unite all Americans the
potential to pursue our dreams and forge our own paths,"
Gibson said.

To be released on November 16 with a 5000,000 copy
print-run, the illustration in the book is provided by the
award-winning and New York Times` bestselling artist Loren
Long.

The book was acquired and the manuscript completed
prior to Obama taking office in January 2009.

His two daughters Malia and Sasha inspired him to
write the book.

Proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated
to a scholarship fund for the children of fallen and disabled
soldiers serving our nation.

Knopf Executive Editor Michelle Frey edited the book,
which was acquired from President Obama`s attorney, Robert B
Barnett.
