London: Michelle Obama told high school students that being married to the president can be scary because her husband pushes the family beyond their comfort zones.

The first lady made the comment when she delivered a speech at Georgetown University in Washington.

The 47-year-old US President’s wife encouraged her audience from schools in Maryland, Washington and Virginia not to be guided by fear, after one pupil admitted to being nervous about going to college.

“I mean this is scary,” the Daily Mail quoted Mrs Obama as saying.

“Shoot, being married to Barack Obama? He’s got big plans.

“He’s always pushing us beyond our comfort zones, and I’m dragged along going, “What’s he doing now? No, not this,” she added.
