Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has bought a mansion near a lake that is lined with houses.
Milan: Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has bought a mansion near a lake that is lined with houses, including one belonging to American actor George Clooney.
After a five-year effort to acquire a villa on Lake Como, Berlusconi bought the mansion from his friend senator Marcello Dell`Utri, said a report in the Il Giornale newspaper.
The daily did not disclose the price but said the property has about 30 rooms, a tennis court and a boat dock.
Lake Como is situated near the border with Switzerland.
Dell`Utri and Berlusconi have been close friends for more than 50 years.
Billionaire Berlusconi has numerous properties including homes near Milan, Sardinia and Antigua.
