Washington: American TV personality Barbara Walters has said that Bill Clinton wants his wife Hillary to run in 2016 elections, but the US Secretary of State is not so sure about doing so.

Walters made her comments as she appeared on ABC`s "Good Morning America" (GMA) to promote her special, "10 Most Fascinating People”, on which Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is making her third appearance.

"We did ask whether she was going to run in 2016. Her husband wants her to, but she`s not so sure," Politico quoted Walters, as saying.

According to the report, GMA did not preview that portion of the interview in which they discussed former president Bill Clinton.

In more portions of the interview ABC released thereafter, Hillary told Walters that her age would not affect her career.

"I am, thankfully - knock on wood - not only healthy, but have incredible stamina and energy," Hillary told Walters.

"I just want to see what else is out there. I`ve been doing, you know, this, this incredibly important and, and satisfying work here in Washington, as I say, for 20 years. I want to get out and spend some time looking at what else I can do to contribute," she added.
